Job Summary
Oversees activities related to the purchase of material, material control, inventory control, shipping/receiving and stores functions-Plans, schedules and monitors the efficient movement of material from receiving or the warehouse to production.
-Develops raw material requirements and scheduling requirements from engineering specifications and production schedules and coordinates material movement with purchasing, warehouse, and production.
-Utilizes Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems.
-Negotiates lead times with suppliers and manage schedules for timely delivery.
-May interpret laws, rules and regulations regarding shipping and prepares applications for export/import control certifications and licenses.
