Job Description

Acumatica is looking for a Team Lead to join our Field Services team in Belgrade, Serbia!

Position Overview

In this position, you will lead a cross-functional squad (~14 engineers, QA, UX, and business analysts) responsible for the Field Services module of the Acumatica Cloud ERP. You will own delivery of roadmap features end-to-end (from discovery to customer adoption), while growing talent, improving flow efficiency, and ensuring world-class product quality and reliability.

Reporting & Growth

This role reports to the Senior Director of Development and offers a growth path to Senior Engineering Manager or Director. Acumatica provides a comprehensive benefits package and professional-development allowance.

Key Responsibilities

Building and managing software product team that performs product development based on the Acumatica cloud platform.

Leadership & People

Product & Stakeholder management            

Partnering with Product Management to shape backlog and quarterly goalsParticipating in elaboration of software requirementsTranslating epics into actionable stories and technical designsCommunicating progress, risks, and trade-offs to execs & customers

Engineering Excellence            

Defining and tracking KPI’s for the teamDriving modern SDLC (Scrum/Kanban + DevSecOps)Championing test automation (unit, integration, contract, E2E)Enforcing design & code reviews, RFCs, and architectural decision recordsProviding technical consulting and issues investigation.

Quality, Security & Compliance

Executing the development lifecycle from requirements analysis, feasibility estimates, design, code, and testingFollowing the company standards and engineering processesTracking escaped-defect rate, MTTR, and availabilityAnalyzing and taking action on the regressions rate and customer satisfaction

Cross-Functional Collaboration           

Coordinating with UX, Tech Docs, Support, Customer SuccessParticipate in customer advisory sessions and beta programs for new featuresManaging concurrent projects and engineering staff to ensure project timing is maintained

Continuous Improvement       

Facilitating blameless post-mortems, root-cause analysis, and kaizen workshopsObjectively evaluating team performance and developing resources

Qualifications5+ years building business applications in C# / .NET (7+), SQL Server/PostgreSQL2+ years direct people management in Agile environmentsProven delivery of SaaS products at scaleDeep understanding of data structures, algorithms, and OO & domain-driven designHands-on with Git, pull-request workflows, trunk-based developmentExcellent written & verbal English; able to draft design docs and exec updateAbility to understand and work with existing codeERP or CRM or Accounting or Business systems development experience (is a plus)
