Job Overview
The Team Lead & Design Traffic Coordinator is a strategic operational leader who partners closely with the Graphic Design Director to drive team performance, deliver best-in-class creative deliverables, and optimize creative workflow. This dual-function role combines people management with traffic coordination, ensuring the graphic design team delivers high-quality work on time while fostering individual growth and team cohesion. This role will serve as the vital link between creative strategy and execution, managing both the people and the processes that enable excellence.
Key Responsibilities
People Management
Build team capability through targeted skill development initiatives and constructive feedback
Foster a positive, collaborative team culture that encourages creativity, accountability, and continuous improvement
Manage team capacity, workload distribution, and resource allocation to prevent burnout and maximize productivity
Handle conflict resolution and employee relations matters with professionalism and confidentiality
Support recruitment, onboarding, and retention initiatives for the design team
Traffic Coordination & Project Management
Monitor all incoming design requests via Monday.com and assign projects to designers based on skillset, capacity, and priority (in consultation with the Graphic Design Director)
Serve as the primary liaison between design requestors and the creative team, ensuring project briefs are complete, clear, and actionable
Manage end-to-end creative workflows from intake through final delivery, establishing and enforcing quality checkpoints
Administer project components including folder setup, file organization, version control, and archiving in designated locations
Coordinate creative presentations, review cycles, and distribution of design deliverables to stakeholders
Track project statuses and proactively communicate potential delays or resource constraints to the Graphic Design Director
Attend project meetings and status calls on behalf of designers to capture requirements, decisions, and feedback
Support the Graphic Design Director with reporting, data tracking, and performance metrics analysis
Skills and experience
People Leadership
Minimum 3-5 years of people management experience, with demonstrated success coaching and developing creative professionals
Proven ability to build high-performing teams through effective communication, motivation, and conflict resolution
Experience managing performance across diverse skill levels and providing developmental feedback
Traffic Management & Operations
3+ years of experience in traffic management, content delivery, project coordination, or creative operations
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects while maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills with a track record of removing obstacles and keeping projects on track
Technical & Communication Skills
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to articulate complex information clearly
Experience with project management tools such as Monday.com, Asana, or similar platforms (Monday.com experience strongly preferred)
Familiarity with SharePoint or similar content management systems (preferred)
Strong organizational, analytical, and multi-tasking capabilities
