Our client, an educational organization dedicated to fostering academic and social success, is seeking Teaching Assistants to join their team. In this role, you will supporting students in their educational journey. The ideal candidate will demonstrate patience, strong communication skills, and a passion for helping students succeed, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Teaching Assistant

Location: Brooklyn, NY

Pay Range: $25 -$30 per hour

Shift: Monday - Friday 7:30 am - 4:30 pm (1 hour lunch)

Duration: 3 months with possibility of extension

What's the Job?

Oversee young adults in the classroom to ensure their safety and engagement during lessons and activities. Assist students with limited English proficiency by providing clear translations and explanations of classroom materials and instructions. Accurately take and maintain attendance records for all students Support the team in light administrative tasks such as organizing events, typing materials and creating fliers Promote positive behavior among students and address any issues that arise in a constructive manner.

What's Needed?

Previous experience working with young adults in an educational or mentoring capacity. Proficiency in English and at least one other language (preferably Spanish or Haitian Creole). Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with students, teachers, and staff. Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping students succeed academically and socially.
