We are looking for exceptional Special Education Learning Specialist educators to join our team! At ACE, we facilitate a full-inclusion model of special education. With 20% of our students qualifying for specialized services, our Learning Specialists are critical to achieving our mission. You are insatiably curious about how to motivate students to engage in learning through appropriate interventions and accommodations in order for students to access standards-aligned, grade-level instruction. Above all, you are a patient optimist - you believe that every student is capable of graduating from college. Responsibilities Maintain the unwavering belief in the extraordinary potential of every student. Maintain a growth mindset with all stakeholders. Communicate effectively and respectfully with all stakeholders. Build authentic relationships with students by serving as a mentor; consistently reinforce the belief that all students have the capacity to be successful through college. Build authentic relationships with families through school events, phone calls and conferences. Commit to equitable teaching and learning opportunities for all students with dedication to the success of students, their families, and the community. Write, schedule, and facilitate IEP meetings annually or upon request with all stakeholders, as well as provide follow-up to teachers and parents as necessary. Maintain compliant and organized files. Meet student’s needs as outlined in the IEP via push-in and small group support Monitor Progress of student’s IEP goals no less than three times per year. Communicate a student’s eligibility, goals, and accommodations with all members of the student’s team (teachers, paraprofessionals, administrators, service providers). Communicate a student’s needs, celebrations, or concerns with the IEP team as appropriate. Collaborate with teachers, psychologists and counselors to create Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) or other plans of succ
