Flexible Schedule — Part-Time or Full-Time | $48/hr | 16-Week Contract (Potential for Extension)
We are seeking a dedicated Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) to support students across the Sarasota area, spanning down to North Port. This role provides an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by helping students develop the social, emotional, and intellectual skills needed for long-term success.
Position Overview
The TVI will organize and implement instructional programs for visually impaired students across multiple school sites. This district-wide role includes both direct instruction and support services, giving you the chance to work with students in a flexible, dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
+ Provide specialized instruction designed to meet the unique learning needs of visually impaired students.
+ Support students’ social, emotional, and intellectual development.
+ Travel to multiple schools within mid-Sarasota County and the North Port area.

Minimum Requirements
+ Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university (preferred)
+ Valid state teaching certification (per state regulations)
+ TVI certification required
+ Minimum 1 year of experience working as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired
+ Current CPR (if applicable)
+ TB Questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray (if applicable)
+ Current health certificate (as required)
+ Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
+ Must be at least 18 years old
