Teacher for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing - Colorado Springs
Salary: $2158 / Week Role Details: The Teacher for the Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing teaches deaf and hard-of-hearing pupils in a classroom setting. Instructs in academic subjects of regular curriculum or adapted curriculum to meet needs of student population. Contract Details: This contract is located in Colorado Springs, CO and will be the entire 25/26 School year- beginning in August. The contract is full-time, 37.5 hours a week, paying $ 50/ hour. Minimum Requirements: + Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university preferred + Valid state teaching certificate as required by state regulations + Knowledge in Sign Language and use of amplification devices for the deaf and hard-of-hearing + Experience with deaf and hard-of-hearing students preferred + ASL proficiency exam or Certification may be required per state, contract or district + Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice + Current CPR if applicable + TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable + Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation) + Must meet all federal, state and local requirements + Must be at least 18 years of age Amergis Advantages: Local Presence: Dedicated local office in Lakewood, providing a curated experience.
