SUMMARY:
As a Teacher Aide, your care and interaction with the children helps the teacher to maintain a positive environment for both the children and parents.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Teaching Aide. Assist the teacher in providing a developmentally appropriate program for all children
Classroom Management. Help create an environment that supports children’s growth and development; efficiently guide children’s behavior in a positive, age appropriate manner; ensure the safety of the children and promote healthy habits
Relationship Development. Maintain a positive relationship with all children and their families; communicate appropriately with families regarding daily activities of the children
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
One (1) year of work experience with small children preferred
Friendly, warm and safety focused
Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
Demonstrate a high level of organization and patience

M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.For disease specific care programs refer to the program specific requirements of the department for further specifications on experience and educational expectations, including continuing education requirements.
