Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Tax Staff member to join our team in Charlotte, North Carolina. In this role, you will manage client tax needs by preparing individual and business tax returns, as well as assisting with payroll and bookkeeping processes. Responsibilities: • Prepare individual and business tax returns with accuracy and adherence to federal and state regulations. • Manage client accounts, ensuring timely communication and resolution of tax-related inquiries. • Oversee payroll processing and bookkeeping tasks to maintain accurate financial records. • Utilize software such as QuickBooks and CCH ProSystem Fx to streamline tax preparation and reporting. • Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and provide informed recommendations. • Collaborate with team members to improve workflows and enhance client satisfaction. • Analyze financial data to identify potential tax savings opportunities for clients. • Assist with training and mentoring less experienced staff members as needed. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in preparing individual and business tax returns. • Proficiency in QuickBooks and payroll processing. • Strong knowledge of CCH ProSystem Fx and similar tax preparation software. • Solid understanding of federal and state tax regulations. • Ability to analyze financial data and provide actionable insights. • Credentials such as CPA or EA are highly preferred. • Excellent organizational and communication skills. • Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple deadlines effectively.
