Description We are looking for an experienced Tax Preparer to join a thriving and well-established tax firm in Westlake Village, California. This is a permanent, onsite position offering excellent opportunities for career advancement, including the potential for future partnership. The ideal candidate will bring substantial expertise in tax preparation and demonstrate a commitment to delivering high-quality service to clients. Responsibilities: • Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for individuals and businesses. • Handle a diverse workload, focusing 70% on individual returns and 30% on business returns, including LLCs, S-Corps, and C-Corps. • Manage approximately 700–800 tax returns annually with accuracy and efficiency. • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure compliance with tax regulations and timely submissions. • Communicate effectively with clients to address tax-related inquiries and provide guidance. • Utilize ProConnect Tax Online (web-based Lacerte) for tax preparation when applicable. • Maintain a high standard of organization to manage multiple deadlines during peak seasons. • Support the firm's long-term objectives by contributing to ongoing client satisfaction and retention. • Uphold confidentiality and integrity in all client interactions. • Participate in team efforts to streamline processes and improve workflow. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax preparation, including individual and business returns. • Strong understanding of tax regulations affecting LLCs, S-Corps, and C-Corps. • Familiarity with ProConnect Tax Online is preferred but not mandatory. • Excellent communication skills for client and team interactions. • Proven ability to manage high-volume workloads efficiently. • Bookkeeping experience is a plus. • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. • Commitment to ongoing growth and long-term career development.
