Job Description

Job Summary


The Tax Specialist will lead the Tax Reform project, being responsible for studying the new law and the related Electronic Documents technical notes, as well as analyzing their impact on our operations.
You’ll work closely with IT to ensure that tax requirements are met, and with the business to map impacted processes and drive the necessary changes.


You’ll also serve as the key user for local and global projects driven either by tax or business teams, identifying system adjustments needed, creating documentation for IT teams, following up on development, testing changes, creating job aids, and training the necessary teams (end‑to‑end project life cycle).


You will support the departments (sales, engineering, products, projects, and others) in tax analyses that assist in structuring our strategy and key business decision‑making, helping mitigate tax risks and ensure compliance with legislation and ancillary obligations.
Keeping track of legislative changes, analyzing their impacts, and reporting on them is also part of this role.

Your responsibilities:

Drive the Tax Reform Project changes with IT and business.

Monitor legal updates (Federal, State, and Municipal legislation), technical notes, and ancillary obligations, and drive necessary changes to maintain compliance.

Serve as a reference for the tax team on topics related to legislation interpretation and system changes.

Serve as a reference for the business as a tax expert to support operations.

Identify and implement improvements to regulatory compliance processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Translate legislation changes into business rules for IT and drive the necessary process changes with the business.

Assist in impact assessment and prioritization.

Represent the department as a multiplier of system and process knowledge.

Work on tax system rollout projects, as well as tax improvements, acting as a link between the business team and the IT area.

Follow up on projects with partners and on the backlog of calls with IT.

Support the review of training materials.

The Essentials – You Will Have:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting.

The ability to motivate and influence others.

Strong communication and problem‑solving skills.

Proficiency in accounting software and financial management systems, along with strong Microsoft Excel skills.

A meticulous approach to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records and reports.

Advanced English proficiency is required.

Minimum of five years of progressive finance and/or accounting experience is required.

Required knowledge of SAP.

Mastery of the Microsoft Office Suite (advanced knowledge of Excel required).
