Tax Senior National Veterinary Associates

Overview:
NVA is seeking a Tax Senior to join our team. Under direct supervision of the Tax Manager, this role will be responsible for the preparation and the review of income tax related work papers and filings. We are looking for someone who takes ownership and pride in their work and who has an open mind and positive attitude.
Role & Responsibilities:
• Review and prepare corporate and partnership federal, state, and local income tax returns • Review and prepare quarterly estimated tax payments and tax return extensions • Review and prepare interim and year-end tax provisions including current taxable income calculation and deferred tax rollforward • Liaise with finance and accounting personnel to collect and analyze financial information for assigned business operations • Develop an understanding of the business for assigned entities • Assist with the reconciliation of fixed assets tax basis, tax depreciation calculation, and fixed asset rollforwards preparation • Assist with responses to taxing authority inquiries • Provide tax support to other corporate and operating groups • Assist with various tax projects as assigned relating to tax audits and tax planning • Perform data analytics and propose best process/technology
Job Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting; Master’s Degree in Taxation or Accounting preferred. • CPA preferred. • 2+ years of income tax experience in public accounting • Knowledge of U.S. Federal and state income tax compliance • Proficiency with OneSource and Microsoft Office Suite with advanced Excel skills • Self-directed, detail oriented, problem solver, strong analytical skills • Strong time management skills with the ability to effectively prioritize tasks to meet internal and external deadlines • Strong data management skills • Ability to work both independently and within a team • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s Degree in Taxation, Accounting or MBACPA

The salary range for this role is $90,000 - $100,000.
