Job Summary:
An International VAT Senior Manager Global Indirect Tax Services is responsible for advising clients and identifying potential opportunities and providing advice to clients, in a variety of industries, on global indirect tax matters working with the VAT Managing Director. In this role, the International VAT Senior Manager will be expected to have marketable technical skills, and the ability to solve problems and maintain and develop new key client relationships within their area of experience and specialization. In addition, this role will be responsible for recognizing potential changes in tax policy and applying new policies pertaining to global indirect tax matters.

May supervise the day-to-day workload of Interns, Associates, Senior Associates and Managers on assigned engagements and reviews work product May deliver periodic performance feedback and completes performance evaluations for, Managers, Senior Associates, Associates and Interns May act as mentor to Managers Senior Associates, Associates and Interns, as appropriate
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree, required Juris Doctorate degree, LLM, and/or MBA, preferredExperience:
Eight (8) or more years of experience in the field of indirect tax, corporate tax, international tax and/or legal professional services or equivalent experience through an advanced degree program, required Indirect tax experience, required Experience supervising tax professionals on a project or engagement basis, preferredLicense/Certifications:
CPA certification, Attorney (admitted to practice in a U.S. jurisdiction), and/or Internal Revenue Service Enrolled Agent (“EA”) or the equivalent of one of these designations, preferredSoftware:
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel and PowerPoint, required Experience utilizing RIA, BNA, Lexis Nexis, requiredLanguage:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong analytical and basic legal and tax research skills, including building models and analysis of financial and numerical data Solid organizational skills, especially ability to meet project deadlines with a focus on details Ability to successfully multi-task while working independently or within a group environment Capable of working in a deadline-driven environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously Capable of effectively managing a team of tax professionals and delegating work assignments as needed Capacity to build and maintain strong relationships with client personnel Ability to successfully interact with professionals at all levels
Individual salaries that are offered to a candidate are determined after consideration of numerous factors including but not limited to the candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, and geography.
National Range: $99,750 - $262,500
Maryland Range: $99,750 - $262,500
NYC/Long Island/Westchester Range: $99,750 - $262,500
Washington DC Range: $99,750 - $262,500
