Tax Senior Associate
Description We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Tax Senior Associate to join our team in Salt Lake City, Utah. This role is ideal for someone with strong technical skills and a passion for delivering exceptional client service. You will play a vital role in tax compliance, research, and consulting while working closely with a dynamic team to support our clients' diverse needs. Responsibilities: • Prepare a variety of tax returns, including corporate, partnership, individual, estate, gift, not-for-profit, and employee benefit tax filings. • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients by understanding their business needs and addressing their tax-related questions. • Conduct in-depth research and analysis on complex tax issues to provide accurate and reliable solutions. • Support dynamic tax consulting projects, offering insights and recommendations to clients. • Participate in ongoing skill development to enhance technical knowledge and stay current with industry trends. • Collaborate with team members across all levels to ensure the delivery of high-quality tax services. • Manage multiple assignments effectively, prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. • Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and tools to increase efficiency and accuracy. • Provide mentorship and guidance to less experienced team members, fostering a culture of learning and development. • Stay informed about federal and state tax regulations to ensure compliance and provide proactive advice to clients. Requirements • A minimum of two years of experience in tax preparation and consulting, preferably within public accounting. • Strong academic background with a GPA of 3.5 or higher. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with clients and colleagues. • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. • Demonstrated leadership skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving. • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team of professionals. • Desire to pursue or possession of a CPA license, which is required for progression to management roles. • Proficiency in accounting software systems, including tools such as CCH ProSystem Fx, CaseWare, and CCH IntelliConnect.
