Description We are looking for a skilled Tax Preparer to join our team on a contract basis in Marina del Rey, California. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and reviewing individual tax returns with accuracy and efficiency. Responsibilities: • Prepare and review individual tax returns in compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines. • Utilize Lacerte Tax Software to accurately process and file tax returns. • Conduct thorough reviews of financial data to ensure accurate reporting and compliance. • Communicate effectively with clients to gather necessary tax-related documentation and address inquiries. • Stay updated on current tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and provide informed advice. • Identify potential tax-saving opportunities and provide recommendations to clients. • Ensure all deadlines are met while maintaining a high standard of accuracy. • Collaborate with team members to resolve complex tax issues and improve processes. Requirements • Proven experience in preparing individual tax returns. • Proficiency in using Lacerte Tax Software for tax preparation tasks. • Strong knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements. • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients. • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred. • Availability to work on a contract basis and meet project deadlines.
