Tax Operations Manager

**Summary:**
Meta is seeking an experienced tax professional to support its tax operations team. This position will work on tax operations projects in supporting the Company’s tax planning, forecasting and analytics, tax provision and compliance processes, and operational process improvements. Additionally, this role will support strategic planning and execution of technology-driven initiatives that leverage data to transform tax processes, including planning, provision & financial reporting, compliance, calculations, and analytics. The ideal candidate should have a record of progression and success in a Big 4 or in-house experience with a publicly traded, US multinational company. The candidate should have hands-on experience and working knowledge of tax technical areas (Subchapter C, international tax, M&A) with the experience to apply such knowledge in reporting transactions on the provision and return, the ability to lead cross functional projects, operate independently in a fast-paced environment, and the ability to automate processes and collaborate with numerous functional teams across the organization. The candidate will be expected to anticipate and surface issues, solve problems, recommend solutions and exercise good business judgment while performing these functions.
**Required Skills:**
Tax Operations Manager Responsibilities:
1. Support Meta’s tax focused financial planning & analysis (FP&A) processes for various life cycles. This includes forecasted tax expense and current tax liability computations as well as various US international tax calculations
2. Support US tax planning, including modeling, tax technical analysis, and documentation
3. Build, strengthen, and scale planning computations and processes with evolving tax law changes
4. Support quarterly and annual global income tax provision calculations, various related inputs, and financial reporting processes
5. Manage special projects, including planning, reviewing transactions, managing external service providers, and presenting results
6. Identify and assess process enhancement opportunities, plan and lead implementation
7. Partner with US and international tax teams and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure full tax integration
8. Develop concise and compelling business cases for proposed projects
9. Partner with the global tax team to deliver analytical solutions and to determine impact of strategic business decisions and transactions
10. Advocate for improvements to systems and processes that will benefit the tax operations teams and our business partners
**Minimum Qualifications:**

11. Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field (ex: business administration)
12. 8+ years of relevant tax experience in Big 4 or in a large, US multinational corporation(s)
13. Solid tax technical skills and technical proficiency in ASC 740, especially accounting for foreign operations, US international tax matters, uncertain tax positions, outside basis differences, and business combinations
14. Demonstrated leadership and experience managing projects
15. Clear communicator, experience running meetings effectively, and experience explaining complex concepts to a non-technical audience
16. Experience organizing large volume of information and identify automation opportunities
17. Experienced computer skills utilizing Microsoft (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint) and Google (GDocs, GSheets, GSlides, GDrive) applications

20. Self-motivated and results-oriented, experience dealing with a high degree of ambiguity and drive clarity in key areas
21. Experience collaborating with geographically distributed cross-functional teams to implement business processes in a global environment
22. Experience in financial systems (i.e., Oracle, Essbase, etc.), Alteryx and OTP provision is highly desirable
**Public Compensation:**
$142,000/year to $205,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
