Client Operations Tax Team is part of the wider Client Operations team, with a particular focus on ensuring adherence to local and International Tax regulations and tax requirements for the Swiss platform.
As a Tax Officer within Client Operations Tax Team, you will play a key role in the review and acceptance of client tax documentation, the maintenance of data in a variety of systems, regular review of existing client files to ensure data consistency and processing of any ad hoc changes requested by our clients. In addition the Client Operations Tax Team coordinates the Tax projects from an operational perspective, plus they also act as Center of Excellence for the Business who refer to them for any Onboarding/Operational Tax issues/questions or complex situation. Client Ops Tax team produces reporting to tax authorities across multiple jurisdictions and ensuring compliance with local tax and regulatory static data requirements
Job Responsibilities
Complete review of client tax documentation and systems inputProvide guidance, advice and training to other teams in tax matters relevant to account opening and due diligence in the implementation of International Tax AgreementsPerform controls and reconciliations in order to ensure that tax information stored in our systems is accurate and in line with client’s documentationMonitor the different tax reporting deadlines as per domestic law and international tax conventionsRequired qualifications, capabilities and skills
Law/business degree or background Understanding of the different structures (e.g. Trust, Foundations, Partnerships, PHC) opened within the Wealth Management industryKnowledge of Common Reporting Standard (CRS) and familiarity with US tax forms - FATCA QIGeneral knowledge on the European tax regime, i.e. Swiss, Spanish, Italian, UK, French, GermanExcellent organizational skills - attention to detail, methodical, process drivenAbility to manage multiple streams of work concurrently and prioritize effectivelyA flexible, team spirited approach with the ability to work independentlyAbility to work accurately within tight deadlines in a demanding environmentA strong sense of ownership and responsibilityFluency in English mandatory Strong Microsoft Office skills, in particular with Word, Excel, the ability to use data analytics tools and AI solutions.Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Degree qualification or professional certification relating to TaxFluency in French, German, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, or Arabic would also be a strong advantage.
