Description We are looking for an experienced Tax Manager to join our team in Buffalo, New York. This role involves overseeing tax compliance and planning for public accounting clients while providing strategic guidance to ensure accurate and efficient tax processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in corporate taxation and public accounting, along with the ability to manage complex tax provisions and reporting. Responsibilities: • Supervise and manage the preparation and review of annual income tax provisions to ensure compliance with regulatory standards. • Utilize CCH ProSystem Fx to efficiently handle tax-related processes and documentation. • Oversee sales tax calculations and reporting using CCH Sales Tax software. • Prepare and review corporate tax returns, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines. • Advise clients on entity formation and provide guidance on tax implications. • Manage tax planning strategies for public accounting clients to optimize their financial outcomes. • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations while addressing any issues or discrepancies. • Collaborate with team members and clients to provide solutions for complex tax matters. • Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations, updating processes as necessary to maintain compliance. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. • Minimum of 5 years of experience in public accounting, specializing in tax management. • Proficiency in CCH ProSystem Fx and CCH Sales Tax software. • Strong knowledge of corporate tax return preparation and compliance. • Expertise in annual income tax provisions and reporting. • Familiarity with entity formation and associated tax considerations. • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client and team interactions.
