Description We are looking for a skilled Tax Manager to join our team in Dallas, Texas. This role involves managing multiple client accounts, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with federal and state tax regulations. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational abilities and expertise in accounting systems to effectively support client needs. Responsibilities: • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, fostering clear and effective communication. • Manage monthly accounting tasks for a portfolio of 20 to 50 clients. • Reconcile multiple accounts on a regular basis to ensure accuracy and completeness. • Prepare and file federal and state payroll tax reports in compliance with regulations. • Develop financial budgets tailored to client requirements. • Handle bill payments and deposits on behalf of clients. • Participate actively in staff meetings to share insights and updates. • Lead discussions with clients regarding financial performance, budgets, and organizational goals. • Propose workflow enhancements to improve efficiency for both clients and the management team. • Stay current in the field by engaging in continuing education opportunities and other development activities. Requirements • Proficiency in accounting software systems such as ADP, CaseWare, and CCH ProSystem Fx. • Strong understanding of tax compliance, including payroll and sales tax regulations. • Experience with annual income tax provision and auditing processes. • Familiarity with entity formation and associated financial requirements. • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple client accounts efficiently. • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to lead client meetings and collaborate with colleagues. • Commitment to growth and development through ongoing education and networking. • Capability to recommend and implement workflow improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
