We are looking for an experienced Tax Manager to join our team in Chehalis, Washington. In this role, you will leverage your extensive experience in tax planning and compliance to provide outstanding service to a diverse range of clients. You will play a pivotal role in managing complex tax matters, mentoring team members, and ensuring adherence to current tax regulations. Responsibilities:
• Lead the preparation and comprehensive review of federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, trusts, estates, partnerships, corporations, and non-profit organizations.
• Analyze financial data to uncover opportunities for tax savings and develop customized strategies for clients.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their business goals and implement tax solutions that align with those objectives.
• Provide mentorship and training to entry-level staff, fostering growth and skill development within the team.
• Monitor updates in tax laws and regulations, assessing their implications for clients and ensuring compliance.
• Manage client relationships effectively, serving as a trusted advisor on tax-related matters.
• Utilize advanced tax preparation and accounting software to streamline processes and maintain accuracy.
• Conduct research on complex tax issues and provide recommendations to address them.
• Assist in planning and executing annual income tax provisions and compliance activities.
• Develop and maintain processes for corporate tax compliance, including consolidated tax returns and entity formations.
The salary range for this position is $110k to $140k. Benefits available with this position include medical, dental and vision; life and disability insurances; participation in the company’s 401(k) plan with a match and 15 days of paid vacation, 5 days of paid sick leave and 9 paid holidays per calendar year.
Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in public accounting with a focus on tax preparation and planning.
• Proven ability to manage and interact directly with clients, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills.
• In-depth knowledge of tax regulations for individuals, estates, trusts, partnerships, S-corporations, corporations, and non-profits.
• Proficiency with tax preparation and accounting software such as QuickBooks, Axcess, Engagement, Thomson Reuters, or UltraTax.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail to handle complex financial scenarios.
• Exceptional communication skills to effectively convey intricate tax concepts to clients and team members.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment while managing multiple priorities.
