Description We are looking for an experienced Tax Senior or Manager to join our team in Metairie, Louisiana. In this role, you will oversee tax-related operations, manage staff workflows, and provide expertise in reviewing and signing off on tax returns. This position offers the opportunity to develop skills in forensic accounting and contribute to the success of a dynamic organization. Responsibilities: • Supervise and manage the workflow of tax-related tasks to ensure deadlines are met with efficiency. • Review and approve individual, corporate, partnership, and federal income tax returns for accuracy and compliance. • Provide mentorship and guidance to staff, ensuring quality in their work and fostering growth. • Collaborate with team members to identify opportunities for improving tax processes and implementing best practices. • Conduct research on complex tax issues and provide recommendations based on findings. • Support the development of forensic accounting skills within the team, enhancing overall capabilities. • Ensure compliance with federal and state tax regulations while addressing client-specific needs. • Prepare detailed reports and documentation for internal and external review. • Act as a point of contact for clients, addressing tax-related inquiries with expertise and attention to detail. Requirements • Minimum of 7 years of experience in public accounting, specifically in tax roles. • Proficiency in preparing and reviewing corporate, partnership, and individual tax returns. • Strong knowledge of federal income tax regulations and compliance requirements. • Demonstrated ability to manage and mentor staff effectively. • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills related to complex tax issues. • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for client and team interactions. • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field; CPA certification preferred. • Ability to work on-site in Metairie, Louisiana.
