The Corporate Tax department is responsible for all corporate income and indirect (transactional) tax matters within DHL Group. Global responsibilities are addressed by International Taxes and Indirect Taxes, whereas regional responsibilities are organized by area, led by Regional Heads. We are looking for an immediate, full-time, permanent position in APAC at Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam.

 

Job Purpose:

Support to develop and administer plans on tax related matters, tax compliance and accounting principles to maintain effective tax rate, minimize tax risk and improve cash flow in line with sub-functional plans, business objectives, group policies, regulations and compliance requirements  

Your tasks:

Execute tax related processes, services and activities in compliance with laid down processes, controls, regulations and systems Complete tax accounting entries and contracts, coding of tax bills, questions on tax fillings or notices Identify and utilize available exemptions to minimize tax liability Recover tax overpayments through protests and refund claims Document and update department compliance policies and processes Provide inputs for enhancing tax processes/ guidelines to lower the tax rate and to optimize the tax structure Stay updated and analyze impact of new tax regulations and laws Assist closure of tax audits form date of notice to completion including maintenance of audit ready documents Participate in negotiations with national tax authorities and, if needed, international tax authorities Identify issues and suggest recommendations for enhancements in the Tax processes, service standards and best practices Coordinate with external service providers for tax and compliance areas such as tax consultancy firms Guide team members with less experience and resolve day-to-day issues in execution Review agreements / draft agreements, and provide advice how to maximize the tax benefits or manage tax liability in the agreements

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience/qualification

Experience Level:

more than 5 years
