Tax Manager
Job Description Insight Global is looking for a Tax Manager to join the Tax team of one of our clients located in Coppell, TX. This role is responsible for managing the U.S. income tax compliance, provision, and planning processes for a complex multinational public company. This position ensures accurate and timely filing of federal and state income tax returns, effective management of audits, and compliance with all applicable tax laws and regulations. The role will also support quarterly and annual income tax provision reporting under U.S. GAAP (ASC 740) and assist with tax forecasting, internal controls, and process improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities · Manage the preparation and review of U.S. federal and state income tax returns, extensions, and estimated tax payments. · Oversee the timely and accurate completion of tax workpapers and supporting documentation. · Coordinate with external advisors and internal finance teams to ensure accuracy and completeness of all filings. · Maintain compliance with complex state apportionment, nexus, and filing requirements. · Lead quarterly and annual tax provision processes, including effective tax rate calculations, deferred tax analysis, and uncertain tax position documentation. · Prepare and review provision-related journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement disclosures. · Partner with external auditors to support income tax audit procedures. · Identify and implement federal and state tax planning opportunities to optimize the company’s effective tax rate. · Monitor legislative and regulatory developments and assess potential impacts to the company. · Support corporate transactions, restructurings, and M&A integration from a tax perspective. · Manage federal and state income tax audits, including responding to information requests and coordinating with external advisors as needed. · Maintain documentation to support tax positions and minimize risk exposure. · Drive process efficiencies, technology enhancements, and automation in tax reporting and compliance. · Ensure compliance with internal control requirements under SOX 404 related to income taxes. Skills and Requirements · Minimum 6 years of progressive U.S. corporate income tax experience, including both federal and multistate exposure. . ASC 740 Experience · Minimum 1 year of lead/managerial experience. · Prior public accounting experience. Experience with tax provision software and ERP systems. · Previous Big 4 experience. · CPA or master's degree in accounting. · Tax Receivable Agreement (TRA) Experience · OneSource experience - Oracle experience.
