Job Description
The US Tax Expertise Manager will be positioned in the San Diego, California office. This role is crucial for ensuring compliance and producing technically sound tax returns and reporting. The manager will closely collaborate with the tax compliance team and report to the US Tax Senior Expertise Manager.
Responsibilities
+ Assist central US compliance teams in gathering and analyzing required forms and disclosures.
+ Act as the representative of the Tax & Customs teams towards stakeholders in San Diego.
+ Research and provide guidance on corporate income tax, withholding tax, and other tax types.
+ Participate in cross-sector projects.
+ Engage with internal and external stakeholders as well as other Tax and Customs team members to identify tax-relevant topics and provide solutions.
+ Assist in managing US income tax audits, tax inquiries, and tax notices.
+ Collaborate with the Tax and Customs expertise teams to ensure relevant priorities are addressed.
+ Travel occasionally, approximately 5-15% of the time.
Essential Skills
+ Expertise in tax compliance and accounting.
+ Strong stakeholder engagement abilities.
+ Technical knowledge in tax, customs, and sales & uses.
+ Experience in corporate tax, corporate income tax, state tax, and federal tax.
+ Proficiency with tax forms such as 1120.
+ Experience in handling tax audits and tax notices.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Bachelor's degree in law, accounting, finance, or a related business discipline, or equivalent experience.
+ 4 + years of experience in US corporate income tax.
+ Experience in transfer pricing, wage tax, and sales/use tax is beneficial.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $63.00/hr.
