About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Tax Manager responsible for overseeing and managing a team of professionals responsible for preparation of the Corporations’ tax returns and declarations. The Tax Manager will play a crucial role in strategic tax planning, supporting audits, and minimizing tax liabilities while ensuring the accuracy of each filing. The ideal candidate possesses a strong background in tax law and regulations, financial reporting and experience managing tax compliance.
In this role, you will:
Manage and develop a team of individual contributors with low to moderate complexity and risk in Corporate Tax functional area
Provide strategic consultation to leaders companywide on tax matters
Develop and implement systems to compile information for various federal, state and international income tax matters
Make decisions and resolve issues regarding income tax and accounting discipline of Corporate tax functional area to meet business objectives
Interpret and develop processes, policies and procedures consistent with company values and federal, state and international tax laws
Collaborate with and consult with peers, colleagues and multiple level managers
Interact with external agencies, jurisdictional income tax authorities and industry forums
Manage allocation of people and financial resources for Corporate Tax
Mentor and guide talent development of direct reports and assist in hiring talent
Required Qualifications:
4+ years of Corporate Tax experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
2+ years of Leadership experience
Desired Qualifications:
4+years tax compliance experience and GAAP tax accounting
2+ years people management experience leading, developing, and retaining high performing team of leaders
Knowledge of US GAAP principles in the banking and financial services industry
Strong leadership skills with proven ability to influence and lead change.
Detail oriented with ability to translate strategy into actionable steps across direct and indirect teams.
Demonstrated experience reviewing US federal and state income tax returns
Experience with analytical tools, Alteryx, and Power BI
Ability to assess current processes/procedures and make recommendations for efficiency
Ability to interact with all levels of an organization
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Pay Range
Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
