Tax Manager

As a Tax Manager, you will report to our Chief Financial Officer and be responsible for all corporate tax activities including, tax filings with various tax authorities (Federal, Multi-state and Foreign Jurisdiction) for the US and Canada. You’ll also oversee corporate income tax reporting on the company's financial statements.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare all corporate tax returns, sales/use, property, and other information solicited by any governmental agency to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. Prepare monthly and annual tax provision and related journal entry for monthly and year end close. Manage and direct the U.S. and Canadian income tax and indirect tax reporting to ensure all reporting obligations are satisfied accurately and timely, manage outsourced compliance relationships. Ensure compliance with efforts for all tax accounting controls and documentation requirements. Support the required tax accounting for business acquisitions and other significant non-recurring transactions in partnership with FP&A team.

 

Qualifications in this role include, but are not limited to:

Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field, or equivalent work experience 5+ years of progressive experience in tax (industry or industry/public mix) Applicable knowledge of general accounting methods and principles Broad understanding of overall US Tax System and fixed asset accounting Strong proficiency with MS Office, Word, Outlook, and Excel Intermediate to advanced skills in Pivot Tables & V Look up

Preferred Experience and Skills:

CPA candidate preferred Corporate tax department experience preferred Experience in multi-state taxation or foreign taxation is a plus Oracle, Vertex, OneSource experience preferred Ability to effectively interact with Controllers and employees at all levels, including senior management. Highly skilled in both verbal and written communication is critical, and the ability to accurately communicate issues, concerns, and business needs at all levels  Able to work independently and as part of a team; initiative-taking Strong work ethic, detail-oriented, and time management skills

Compensation: Based on qualifications we anticipate the hiring range will be $115,000-$125,000
