We are looking for an experienced Tax Manager to join a Family Office in Santa Monica, California. This role focuses on managing corporate tax responsibilities while providing expert guidance to clients across various industries. If you excel in tax compliance, strategic planning, and client relations, this position offers an excellent opportunity to showcase your expertise.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee and prepare comprehensive tax filings for partnerships, S corporations, C corporations, trusts, and high-net-worth individuals.
• Collaborate with clients to review fixed asset costs and ensure accurate classification of improvements, such as tenant or building enhancements.
• Analyze and summarize operating agreements and partnership documents to support tax-related decisions.
• Create quarterly tax estimates for individuals and entities with complex financial structures.
• Conduct thorough research on tax issues and deliver findings to the Tax Partner with actionable conclusions.
• Draft precise and well-organized responses to tax notices issued by various agencies.
• Provide support to clients in developing cash flow projections and calculating loan covenants.
• Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment to ensure deliverables meet quality and deadline expectations.
• Work with clients from diverse industries, including real estate, consulting services, and manufacturing.
• Plan and execute financial audits for employee benefit plans and private foundations.
Requirements • Minimum of 7 years of experience in tax management, compliance, or related roles.
• Proficiency in annual income tax provisions and corporate tax compliance.
• Familiarity with ATX tax software and other compliance tools.
• Strong expertise in corporate income tax processes and partnership return filings.
• Knowledge of corporate trust and family office tax considerations.
• Ability to analyze complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
• Exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple clients and deadlines.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with clients and internal teams.
