Director – Tax Technology POSITION SUMMARY The Tax Director will lead the overall development and execution of a global strategy to automate and optimize tax reporting and compliance processes. This role is responsible for exploring new and leveraging existing technology solutions to improve the quality and efficiency of Aon’s corporate tax processes. RESPONSIBILITIES + Identify opportunities and implement solutions to better leverage data and automation across the tax organization to facilitate efficient modeling and analytics + Lead digital transformation initiatives for the Tax Reporting and Compliance Team, including coordinating closely with the Aon Digital Transformation Finance Leaders so the Tax Team is connected to and incorporated into overall finance plans + Identify opportunities to streamline and automate workstreams within the Tax Reporting and Compliance Team + Execute on process improvements, such as leveraging Power BI, Python, and/or Excel Macros + Interface with all teams in the tax department, Information Technology, and other key stakeholders within the company REQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE + Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Suite including Excel, Power Query, SharePoint, Power BI, and PowerPoint + Working knowledge of Python and Alteryx + Effective project management skills to facilitate excellent execution of tax projects + Strong organizational and communication skills, written and verbal + Working knowledge of ASC 740 standards and broad-based experience in direct income tax + 7+ years of experience, with at least 5 years of tax technology experience + Bachelor’s degree in a business or IT related field, with emphasis in accounting preferred + Experience with Workday a plus Location + Hybrid (Amsterdam) or Remote 2568503 Director – Tax Technology POSITION SUMMARY The Tax Director will lead the overall development and execution of a global strategy to automate and optimize tax reporting and compliance processes.
