Job Description

As a Tax Specialist focused on Corporate Tax for the European region, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance with local tax regulations, supporting tax reporting processes, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders across multiple jurisdictions. You will also provide project-related tax advice to the business, contributing to strategic decision-making and operational efficiency. This role demands strong technical tax expertise, analytical capabilities, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, cross-border environment.

Reporting to the Senior Tax Manager for Continental Europe, your responsibilities will include:

Europe Tax

Support local Controllership teams with corporate tax return-related requests to ensure timely and accurate filings.Assist in quarterly and annual tax reporting, including rolling forward data, updating corporate tax rates, and collecting prepayment and withholding tax information.Review tax calculations prepared by internal Controllership or external advisors for European entities and escalate findings to the Senior Tax Manager.Manage ad-hoc tax-related requests from internal and external stakeholders.Monitor payments for invoices from third-party vendors providing tax-related services.Assist in tax audits by gathering and organizing relevant documentation.Conduct research to support tax issues and new projects, escalating findings to the Senior Tax Manager.Collaborate with the Senior Tax Manager to establish and refine tax compliance processes, contributing to process improvement initiatives.Demonstrate ownership, independence, and a collaborative mindset in all tasks.

QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics, ideally with a focus in Tax.Certification as an Expert Accountant regulated by CECCAR (Corpul Experților Contabili și Contabililor Autorizați din România) or an equivalent professional qualification.3–4 years of relevant professional experience in Tax, Finance, or Accounting.Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.Solid understanding of taxation principles, accounting standards, procedures, and internal controls.Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle and Blackline is an advantage, though not required.
