The Opportunity 

 

PwC is a leading global practice in Tax, Assurance and Advisory, offering a wide range of professional services to major clients worldwide, and therefore opportunities for newcomers to our organization. Our Export Delivery Center (EDC), based in Bucharest, provides Accounting and Tax Compliance support services to clients across the global PwC Network. 

Our Managed Services team based in Bucharest, provides exceptional services for other PwC entities in Western Europe and we are currently looking for an experienced Financial Services US Tax Compliance Analyst. 

 
What you will be doing 

 

Apply knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, and tax accounting principles to assess the tax implications of investment transactions, including derivatives, partnerships, and foreign investments. 

Extract and validate complex financial datasets from investment management systems and client portals, ensuring completeness and accuracy for tax reporting purposes. 

Design and maintain structured data repositories and audit-ready documentation using advanced Excel models, Alteryx workflows, and Power BI dashboards to support traceability and compliance. 

Prepare comprehensive tax workpapers that support the calculation of taxable income, including book-to-tax adjustments, Schedule M computations, and state apportionment factors. 

Integrate data from audited financials and tax documents into standardized templates, ensuring alignment with IRS and state-specific compliance requirements. 

Input complex tax data into compliance software platforms such as GoSystem Tax RS and Locator, ensuring accurate mapping of tax attributes and entity-level reporting. 

Assist in the preparation of federal, state, and local tax returns, including partnership, corporate, and REIT filings, with a focus on investment fund structures. 

Collaborate with managers and senior reviewers to conduct multi-level quality assurance checks on tax workpapers and draft returns, identifying discrepancies and proposing corrective actions. 

Support internal and external audit requests by providing detailed documentation and responding to technical inquiries related to tax positions and compliance procedures. 

Managing a large-scale projects by breaking them down into manageable components. 

 

What we need from you 

 

Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting field. 

Minimum 2 years of experience, corporate accounting background ideal. 

Strong knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS. 

Strong interest in a career in US tax compliance. 

Fluent in English. 

Familiarity with tax concepts and compliance processes. 

Proficiency in tools such as Alteryx, Power BI, and VBA. 

High attention to detail and organizational skills.
