Join our Tax team at Thermo Fisher Scientific and contribute to managing complex tax processes across global operations. As a Tax Analyst I, you will contribute to tax compliance activities while working with teams worldwide. This position offers growth opportunities as you support tax planning, documentation, and reporting initiatives. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure accurate and timely tax submissions while identifying opportunities for process improvement and tax efficiency.
*Although this role will be remote, the role will require the individual to attend the Cambridge site twice a month*
Key Responsibilities:Manage a portfolio of incentives across various companies within the group
Analyse activities to identify qualifying expenditure
Prepare and submit claims in compliance with relevant local tax legislation
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate reporting.
Support tax audits and address queries arising from submitted claims
Provide expert guidance to internal business partners on optimising incentives
Requirements:Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, tax or related field preferred
Interest in pursuing/continuing with a professional certification such as ACCA or ATT-CTA
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
Experience with ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, JDE) preferred
Demonstrated analytical skills and attention to detail in financial data analysis
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
Strong communication skills for collaboration with global teams
Experience with tax research and staying current with tax law changes
Strong organizational and time management abilities
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Commitment to continuous improvement and process optimization
