Tax Analyst

We make products for the data center, utility, industrial, commercial, machine building, residential, aerospace and mobility markets. **What you’ll do:** The NEA VAT Center of Excellence (CoE) provides strategic tax support to Eaton companies across the North East Asia region. Its scope includes the preparation, review, and submission of tax returns and tax refund requests, ensuring compliance and optimizing outcomes. In addition, the CoE delivers strategic business tax advisory services and manages audit controversies to safeguard compliance while driving effective and sustainable tax strategies. + As part of Eaton’s North East Asia (NEA) VAT Center of Excellence (CoE), the incumbent will play a key role in supporting China VAT compliance and reporting activities. This position will work closely with the CoE team, business units, and local tax authorities, supporting three legal entities based in Shenzhen. Key responsibilities include preparing and analyzing VAT returns and refund applications, developing analytical dashboards, supporting tax audits, and facilitating the implementation of tax incentive policies. The role will also provide practical tax guidance to internal stakeholders, ensuring alignment with Eaton’s regional tax strategy, and contributing to business growth. + Prepare, analyze, submit, reconcile, and electronically archive tax returns and refund requests, including all supporting documentation. + Generate VAT General Ledger account balance analysis reports using Eaton’s internal systems. + Develop tax analysis dashboards utilizing Power BI for enhanced visibility and insights. + Support the implementation and localization of tax incentive policies. + Lead on-site tax audit support, acting as interface with tax authorities and internal business stakeholders, particularly on tax-related matters. + Provide tax advisory services to internal business units and compliance teams regarding operational tax implications. **Qualifications:** + Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or economics required; Master’s degree preferred + 3+ years of experience in China tax compliance and tax accounting, with a strong focus on VAT. + Expertise in China VAT and export VAT refund filing processes and regulations applicable to the manufacturing industry. + Experience with SAP or Oracle systems preferred + Basic proficiency in written and spoken English to support routine documentation and cross-functional coordination. + Good communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams and interact effectively with internal stakeholders and tax authorities. + Able to provide practical tax guidance to business units and compliance teams and contribute to decision-making processes within scope. **At Eaton, we don’t just want to offer you a job, but a journey and experience.
