The role of Tax Director is responsible for all tax-related services provided by the Firm, ensuring that all matters related to client tax affairs are handled promptly and accurately.In addition, the incumbent will be required to participate in setting the tax strategy and ensure successful implementation to enable growth of this service to our clients. Working closely with clients, the incumbent will provide Gibraltar tax compliance and tax advisory services to a wide range of clients cross many different sectors. The role will require liaison with key intermediaries (law firms and trust administrators), the Income Tax Office, and other stakeholders.

Role Accountabilities
Develop the tax strategy and ensure alignment to the growth strategy of the Firm’s overall business vision and longer term strategy.
Identify gaps in the market and spot opportunities to create value propositions for the Tax offerings of the Firm.
Ensuring the technical expertise of the Tax Team is maintained and reflective of changing legislation.
Key Responsibilities
As a Director, you'll lead a team of problem solvers, helping to solve wider complex business issues from strategy to execution.
Provide professional services and guidance to help our clients meet their tax obligations while managing the impact tax has on their business.
Provision of expertise to our clients on their local and overseas tax affairs, while acting as a strategic consultant related to business analysis.
Monitors reporting and planning to ensure compliance with applicable tax statutes.
Support businesses to enable them to improve their tax function to control risk and facilitate better decision making.
Provide leadership and guidance to leaders of our client businesses to help them formulate their tax strategy, ensuring tax compliance, increasing post tax profits, and application support is available to them to achieve the best corporate tax practices.
Develop the internal skills and competence of PwC Gibraltar Firm and specifically the Tax & Advisory team to really stand out as experts and enable the firm to be fit for the future in a constantly changing world.
Provide direction and directly manage a small but growing team of tax professionals, ensuring high quality output is delivered by all team members in line with the tax strategy and overall business goals.
Drive business development of our tax services and proactively look for opportunities to scale efficiencies and new ways of working across multiple projects and environments.
Drive and take ownership for developing connections in the local market and across the PwC network that help deliver what is best for our people and stakeholders.
Influence and facilitate the creation of long-term relationships with a wide network of clients, which add value to the firm.

Deep understanding and knowledge across a range of tax topics and disciplines.
Significant project / programme management experience in a wide range of business areas and demonstrated success of delivering a variety of complex project assignments in parallel.
High degree of knowledge and experience in stakeholder relationship management at a senior executive level.
Experience of managing a team of professionals.
Good understanding of budgetary control and financial management.
Ability to maintain a high-level view of the desired business outcomes with the experience to anticipate tax related risks and plan mitigating actions.
Good communicator at all levels and an ability to manage difficult and complex situations.
