Responsibilities:
-Tax Return Preparation: Prepare accurate and timely income tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, estates, and other entities, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws
-Client Consultation: Advise clients on tax planning strategies, deductions, credits, and tax-saving opportunities. Help clients understand how changes in their financial situation will impact their taxes
-Tax Research and Compliance: Stay current on changes in tax laws and regulations, including federal, state, and local updates. Provide expert guidance and analysis to ensure tax filings are fully compliant
-Tax Filing and Timeliness: Ensure timely submission of tax filings, including extensions and estimated payments. Maintain strict adherence to tax deadlines and client-specific filing requirements
-Audit Support: Provide assistance and representation to clients during IRS audits, including responding to IRS inquiries, preparing documentation, and resolving discrepancies
-Tax Planning and Projections: Develop and present tax projections for individuals and businesses to assist with year-round tax planning. Provide insight into opportunities for minimizing tax liabilities
-Tax Notices: Review and respond to any IRS or state tax agency notices on behalf of clients, offering clear solutions and guidance for resolution
-Continuous Improvement: Work closely with other tax professionals to improve internal processes, ensure high-quality client service, and foster a positive work environment

Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Skills:
-Master's in Taxation
-Experience with tax preparation software (Thomson Reuters UltraTax)
-Preferred experience working with high-net-worth individuals, small businesses, or complex tax matters (e.g., multi-state taxation, international tax issues)
-Familiarity with tax audits and the ability to represent clients before the IRS or state tax authorities
-Providing proactive tax advice, including retirement planning, estate planning, and business tax strategy

Education:
Bachelors

Experience:
1-4 years

Qualifications:
-Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
-Active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license or Enrolled Agent (EA) status
-Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in tax preparation, tax planning, or related roles
-In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws, particularly those related to individual and business tax returns
-Experience with tax preparation software
-Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in tax filings
-Excellent communication skills to explain complex tax issues clearly and effectively to clients
-Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines, especially during peak tax season
-Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team
