Overview Join our team! We’re searching for a motivated Tax Accountant who’s passionate about delivering accurate, high-quality financial work. Responsibilities + Perform excise, fuel, sales and use tax related accounting tasks as assigned + Calculate, prepare and report monthly, quarterly and annual tax filings in compliance with multiple regulatory agencies + Research and communicate issues to store accounting, fuel accounting and help desk to ensure accurate collection and accounting for tax accruals and related ledger activity + Responsible for general ledger entries and reconciliations of assigned tax liabilities in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and practices + Communicate frequently with management team, field operations, Regulatory Agencies, vendors, suppliers and other necessary outside organizations in respect to assigned areas + Conform and adhere to internal controls over tax accounting procedures as set forth by upper management + Interfaces frequently with various levels within the organization Qualifications + Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance + Proficient in the utilization of Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, and Outlook) + Advanced Excel skills (i.e. v-lookups, sumifs, pivot tables) + Ability to multi-task and complete projects within specific deadlines + Strong computer, presentation and organizational skills + Excellent oral and written communication skills + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills + Detail oriented with excellent time management skills This is not an exhaustive list of all job duties and requirements and may change based on business necessities.
