How will you make an impact in this role?

This position, based in Mexico City, will support the Tax Manager in all tax compliance and tax accounting matters review for both corporate income tax and Value Added Taxes for all Mexican legal entities with the support of external resources.
· Overall responsibility for the timely preparation and initial review of VAT returns prepared by 3rd party
· Supporting tax manager with statutory audits (including annual tax provision and Dictamen Fiscal)
· Oversee the monthly reconciliation processes in support of the Income Tax and VAT returns
· Provide support to Tax Controversy Managers for tax authority audits primarily with respect to providing layouts of revenues and expenses in accordance with the requirements
· Work collaboratively with and support the central tax compliance and tax accounting teams as necessary
· Work collaboratively with and support the controversy and planning/advisory teams as necessary.

Minimum Qualifications

Post-secondary degree in accounting with a minimum 4+ years’ experience in VAT/Income Tax compliance and accounting.
· Experience in creating layouts in accordance with tax authorities’ requirements.
· Experience in digital invoicing connectivity for revenues and expenses.
· Experience in Mexican GAAP and US GAAP tax accounting.
· Strong interpersonal skills, natural collaborator who can engage with multiple stakeholders.
· Experience with a Big 4 firm and/or multinational is preferred.
· Microsoft Office skills including a strong capability in Excel and Power Point.
· Intermediate English, written and spoken.
