Primary responsibilities include the preparation of state and local tax filings and the payment of associated liabilities.

This position reports to the Supervisor and is responsible for the timely preparation and filing of various state and local non-income tax returns primarily in Virginia and North Carolina. A Bachelor's level Degree in an accounting-related field is required. CPA candidate is preferred, but not required.

Bachelor's level degree in accounting or business management required.

Position requires in-office scheduling five days a week until approval from Supervisor to begin Hybrid schedule.

ExperienceDuties include: Preparation and filing of complete and accurate sales tax, business tangible personal property tax, business license tax and other returns on or before government-established due dates.Timely processing and payment of business tangible personal property and real estate tax bills on or before government established due dates.Preparation and filing of complete and accurate North Carolina (NC) semi-annual sales tax refund request on or before NC due dates.Interact with local and state taxing authorities regarding missing bills, notices, disputes, penalties and other matters as required.Maintain thorough documentationPerform any other task and special projects assigned by the Tax Managers and/or Supervisor.

Accounting Finance Tax VA NC Hybrid

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay rate for Full Time employment is:$53,248.00-$88,753.60. Additional compensation may be available for this role such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
