Description We are looking for an experienced Tax Accountant to join a growing practice in Palm Coast, Florida. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in public accounting and tax preparation, providing expert guidance on individual and federal income tax matters. Responsibilities: • Prepare and review federal income tax returns to ensure accuracy and compliance. • Provide expert guidance on individual tax returns, addressing client inquiries and resolving issues. • Collaborate with clients to understand their tax needs and develop tailored solutions. • Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and provide informed advice. • Oversee and support less experienced staff in their tax preparation tasks, offering mentorship and training. • Ensure timely filing of all tax documents and adherence to deadlines. • Maintain detailed records of tax filings and client communications. • Assist clients with tax planning strategies to optimize financial outcomes. • Identify opportunities for process improvement in tax preparation workflows. Requirements • A minimum of 3 years of experience in tax accounting or a related field. • CPA preferred • Strong knowledge of federal income tax laws and regulations. • Proven expertise in preparing individual tax returns. • Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail. • Effective communication skills for client interactions and team collaboration. • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently. • Proficiency in tax preparation software and related tools.
