TAVR Coordinator Cardiology (Full-time) CARDIOLOGY (BILLINGS CLINIC CLINIC) req10024 Shift: Day Employment Status: Full-Time (.75 or greater) Hours per Pay Period: 1.00 = 80 hours every two weeks (Exempt) Starting Wage DOE: $40.91 - 51.14 Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR) Program Coordinator is responsible for the development, implementation, and evaluation of the Structural Heart program. This individual works in close collaboration with the Structural Heart Team, which is comprised of Interventional Cardiologists, General Cardiology, Cardiovascular Surgery, Echocardiography, Hybrid/OR/Cath Lab team and clinic operations. Position to organize the services and systems necessary for a multidisciplinary approach to care of the structural heart patient. Responsible for the day-to-day process and performance improvement for structural heart program rests with this position. The role includes educational, clinical, research, administrative, and outreach activities for the TAVR structural heart program. Provides feedback into the performance appraisal, coaching, counseling and/or disciplinary processes. Assists in the development of policies and procedures. Essential Job Functions • Supports and models behaviors consistent with Billings Clinic’s mission, vision, values, code of business conduct and service expectations. Meets all mandatory organizational and departmental requirements. Maintains competency in all organizational, departmental and outside agency standards as it relates to the environment, employee, patient safety or job performance. • Coordinates multidisciplinary chest pain center team efforts through effective communication and professional working relationships. • Identifies multidisciplinary opportunities for improvement and assists team members with problem resolution through program development, implementation and evaluation. • Monitors the quality, cost and continuity of care; expedites and coordinates the delivery of services to facilitate the patient’s progression through the continuum. • Coordinates TAVR Program multidisciplinary peer review meetings. • Leads and facilitates and ensures that comprehensive, multidisciplinary collaboration of TAVR patient care occurs with the patient, family, physicians and other health care providers. Identifies fragmentation/duplication and assists the team in defining effective utilization of resources. • Provides education for Billings Clinic staff, pre-hospital, and facilities in our referral area. Supports and educates staff in effective and efficient utilization of services and resources to achieve desired process and patient outcomes. • Maintains effective professional working relationships with other Billings Clinic departments, pre-hospital providers, and other communities in our region. • Develops and evaluates evidence-based guidelines, pathways, and protocols to reduce inappropriate variation in care. • Identifies needs and sets goals for own growth and development; meets all mandatory organizational and departmental requirements. • Maintain program registry for purpose of PI for measuring and evaluating plans to improve process of care and outcomes. • Maintains competency in all organizational, departmental and outside agency environmental, employee or patient safety standards relevant to job performance. • Performs other duties as assigned or needed to meet the needs of the department/organization. Minimum Qualifications Education • Four (4 )Year / Bachelor’s Degree - BSN Experience • Five (5) years of professional nursing (one within Billings Clinic) in the assigned service or specialty area related to the above tasks, knowledge, skills and abilities or an equivalent combination of education and experience Certifications and Licenses • Requires BLS and ACLS certifications - At hire • Current RN license in the state of Montana - At hire Or an equivalent combination of education and experience relating to the above tasks, knowledge, skills and abilities will be considered Billings Clinic is Montana’s largest health system serving Montana, Wyoming and the western Dakotas.
