Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of this position consists of, but are not limited to, the following:
Respond to classification inquiries from internal teams (branch level live classification requests) and external clients (project-based classifications)Provide guidance on classifications to clients and internal C.H. Robinson operations staffConsult with Sales, Refund dept. and Trade Policy on classification issues as requiredObtain binding rulings as requiredAssist Trade Policy Advisors and Management as required for client engagements and projectsPrioritize client requests for project based and ad-hoc classificationsManage large client projects as requiredEngage independently in direct customer facing activitiesRequired Qualifications:
5+ years of relevant experience of Customs Brokerage experienceStrong harmonized classification experience (USHTS and/or CAHTS)Strong experience in Canadian and/or United States Customs RegulationsCertified Customs Specialist (CCS) (Canada)Licensed United States Customs Broker (United States)Excellent communication and writing skillsExcellent work prioritization/project management skillsOrganized and able to multitask/lead complex projects in matrix/non-direct management environment.Customer facing experienceHigh school diploma or GEDPreferred Qualifications:
Ability to “strategically influence” across the organization without direct leadership authorityExcellent computer skills (Outlook, Excel, Word)Master’s degree in Logistics, Transportation, or similar fieldOutstanding customer service skillsAbility to work independently in remote work environmentBilingual in English and French is a great to haveKnowledge of Export compliance (Schedule B)We will review applications for this role on an ongoing basis and encourage all interested candidates to apply at their earliest convenience.
Compensation Range
$49,700.00 - $105,000.00The base pay range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum base pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Your individual base pay within this range is determined by work location, which takes into account geographic cost of labor, and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base pay only and do not include additional variable compensation.
