Role Overview
The Talent Program Manager plays a critical role in shaping the future of the organization by focusing on succession planning, employee development programs, talent development reviews, and performance management for VCA Animal Hospitals.
In this role, you will be responsible for creating, defining, and executing talent processes that identify and prepare associates for future roles, ensuring a robust pipeline of talent for key positions, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth. You will work with leader across the organization and alongside our People & Organization team to align talent development initiatives with the organization’s strategic goals.
Responsibilities:
In partnership with VP, Talent, Learning, & Culture, develop and implement a comprehensive succession planning strategy that aligns with Mars Signature Processes to identify and prepare high-potential associates for key leadership roles.
Monitor, measure and evaluate the effectiveness of succession plans, making adjustments as necessary to meet organizational needs.
In partnership with VP, Talent, Learning, & Culture, create a systemic process that supports tailored learning paths for Associates based on their career aspirations and organizational needs.
In partnership with the Learning and Development team, facilitate workshops, training sessions, and mentorship programs as needed to support associate growth and development.
Design, develop and deploy talent development review programs in support of succession planning and talent pipeline development.
In partnership with VP and P&O Business Partners, facilitate regular talent development reviews to assess Associate performance, potential, and readiness for advancement.
Utilize data-driven insights to identify trends and areas for improvement in talent management practices.
Oversee VCA’s performance development process (PDP), ensuring alignment with organizational goals, Associate growth & development, and Mars Signature Processes.
Analyze performance data to identify high performers and areas needing improvement, and recommend appropriate actions.
Qualifications:
Experience: 5+ years or proven experience in talent management, succession planning, and employee development, preferably in a corporate environment.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree Preferred
Additional Information:
Compensation is negotiable based on education, experience, and other relevant credentials. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $115,000-$130,000. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
