Your new role

 

As Director of Medical Affairs, you will lead strategy, scientific excellence, and cross-functional collaboration to advance Novo Nordisk’s impact across therapeutic areas.

 

Key responsibilities:

 

Lead, mentor, and develop the Medical Affairs team to deliver on strategic objectives. Define and implement national medical strategies aligned with business and patient needs. Drive scientific communication and contribute to evidence generation and research activities. Oversee medical support for product launches and lifecycle management. Build strong relationships with external experts and lead medical education initiatives. Ensure compliance with ethical, legal, and regulatory standards, acting as medical signatory. Contribute to senior leadership decisions as part of the national leadership team.

Your skills & qualifications

 

We are looking for a strategic medical leader with a strong scientific background and proven experience in the pharmaceutical industry. The ideal candidate brings both vision and deep expertise, with the ability to inspire teams and shape the future of Medical Affairs at Novo Nordisk.

 

Key qualifications include:

 

A university degree in a relevant field, such as Doctor of Medicine or equivalent. Extensive experience in Medical Affairs or pharmaceutical medicine, ideally in research-driven environments. Strong leadership capability with proven success managing senior teams and engaging external stakeholders. Deep medical-scientific understanding and strategic thinking, combined with a collaborative and solution-oriented mindset. In-depth knowledge of industry codes and regulations, with fluency in English and excellent communication skills.
