The opportunity
The Africa Talent Attraction (TA) team will deliver a globally integrated, agile, and insights-driven approach to talent discovery and sourcing. We aim to bring EY’s culture, values, and opportunities to life in the talent market and create pathways to the exceptional EY experience.
The TA team will collaborate with regional Talent Acquisition teams to identify and engage talent for experienced level careers. The field senior consultant will act as a key collaboration point with Regional Recruitment teams in Africa, supported by a central team of TA specialists, you will lead the development of innovative talent attraction and sourcing strategies for your portfolio. This role is a champion for candidate and user-centricity and will drive excellence in the TA delivery teams, helping to build a world-class talent attraction and sourcing capability.
Your Key Responsibilities
Manage and mentor a team of Talent Attraction Recruiters, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities to enhance their skills and performance. Manage employee performance, recognition and ensure team and individual KPIs are met. Develop and implement comprehensive recruitment strategies to attract contractors, students and experienced hires, ensuring alignment with EY's business goals and service line needs. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including business leaders and hiring managers, to understand their talent needs and deliver tailored recruitment solutions. Oversee talent pipeline process, collaborating with team members to identify top candidates and convert prospects into active applicants. Help drive the sourcing strategy to identify and attract diverse talent, ensuring the use of inclusive initiatives and creative sourcing techniques. Ensure a seamless and exceptional candidate experience throughout the recruitment process, reinforcing EY's reputation for quality and innovation. Act as a change agent for new technologies, tools, and processes, facilitating their adoption within the recruiting community. Stay informed about talent and labor market trends, ensuring all recruiting activities comply with local legal and organizational policies and regulations. Leverage analytics and AI tools to gain insights into recruitment trends, candidate behaviors, and market demands, making informed decisions to optimize recruitment efforts. Work with Talent Attraction leadership to deploy resources toward business priorities. Demonstrate initiative and self-motivation by serving as an individual contributor when needed, driving project success while collaborating with the team.
To Qualify for the Role, You Must Have:
A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred. Minimum 8 -10 years of experience in recruiting and/or sourcing within professional or financial services, corporate, or agency environments. Proven experience in leading and managing recruitment teams, with a strong focus on performance and development. Demonstrated knowledge and prior experience in attracting and engaging contractors, students and experienced hires using a variety of recruitment resources. Strong strategic-thinking skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders on best practices. Consultative approach to client relationships, serving as a trusted talent advisor on the external candidate pipeline. Expertise in creative sourcing techniques and a solid understanding of IT and technology-related roles. Ability to adhere to Service Level Agreements (SLA) of 24-48 hours for delivering sourced candidate profiles to hiring teams. Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with applicant tracking software; willingness to learn AI-driven tools and platforms. Experience working with African talent markets in a professional services context. Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment with multiple concurrent projects. Strong reporting and data analytical skills. Fluency in English, both verbal and written.
