Hiring a Talent Acquisition Specialist in Rockford, IL !!!

The HR Specialist is responsible for supporting a wide range of human resources functions, with a primary focus on recruitment and administrative tasks. This role plays a key part in managing the hiring process, assisting with employee onboarding, and providing support for benefits and leave administration. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering excellent service to both employees and candidates.

ResponsibilitiesManage full-cycle recruitment, including job postings, candidate sourcing, resume screening, interview coordination, and offer preparation.Support onboarding and orientation for new hires.Assist with employee benefits administration, including enrollment and responding to inquiries.Track and process leave requests in compliance with company policies.Maintain accurate employee records and ensure confidentiality of HR documents.Provide general administrative support for HR programs and initiatives.Help organize employee engagement activities and wellness programs.Contribute to the development and maintenance of HR procedures and documentation.Essential SkillsHigh School Diploma or equivalent required; additional HR-related education preferred.Minimum 2 years of experience in HR support or recruitment.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).Familiarity with HR systems or applicant tracking systems (e.g., BambooHR) is a plus.

Work Environment

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rockford, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $29.00/hr.
