Job Objective: To manage and develop the talent acquisition process to ensure the bank’s departments are staffed with qualified and talented professionals, in line with the approved hiring strategy and budget, organizational structures, and the overall goal of positioning the bank as an Employer of Choice. This is achieved through attracting talent that aligns with the bank’s culture and core behavioral competencies.   Responsibilities: Set unit employees’ goals jointly with Business Partners and Service Management, ensure efficient workflow, supervise, evaluate, and develop staff in HQ and international branches to maintain continuous operations. Allocate appropriate talent acquisition team members to relevant business units, fostering a culture of innovation and agile management. Propose plans to assess manpower needs in coordination with departments, and match job requirements with qualified candidates. Contribute to developing and updating strategies/policies/procedures related to recruitment and selection, aligned with HR strategy and labor laws. Prepare the annual recruitment plan and budget and review them with the supervisor for official approval. Maintain strong relationships with recruitment sources (academic institutions, professional bodies, agencies) and follow their programs to access top candidates. Oversee recruitment campaigns and manage job postings through approved communication channels. Manage internal recruitment by optimizing internal talent and succession planning to reduce hiring costs. Ensure the creation and organization of candidate databases, CVs, and applications, stored in systems and files for easy access. Evaluate candidates through interviews, participate in selection, and negotiate salary and benefit packages. Supervise scheduling of written and practical tests, interviews, and background checks to verify candidate information. Design competency-based assessment tools and submit recommendations for managerial approval. Prepare and present job offers to selected candidates based on the bank’s compensation philosophy and after obtaining the necessary approvals. Oversee onboarding for new hires by introducing them to the bank, its subsidiaries, work teams, and policies, ensuring smooth integration and reducing early turnover. Design performance metrics for the recruitment unit to support continuous improvement and align with the bank’s goals. Manage appointments, transfers, assignments, etc., from regional management and branches by reviewing memos and submitting recommendations for approval. Handle reference checks and online background screening before hiring decisions are finalized. Represent or co-represent the bank at career fairs, seminars, and conferences relevant to recruitment. Ensure daily operations follow approved policies, procedures, and authorization levels to protect bank and employee rights. Ensure timely preparation and delivery of reports and records to relevant stakeholders. Review operational reports and take corrective action as required based on internal procedures and control measures. Act as a core or alternate member in the business continuity and emergency response teams, fulfilling all assigned tasks to mitigate crisis impacts and restore operations promptly.

 

 

Skills and Competencies:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Banking, or related field.

• Minimum of 8 years’ experience in recruitment and talent acquisition.

• Preferred: Professional HR certifications (e.g., SHRM, CIPD, or equivalent).

• Strong command of English.

• Solid understanding of internal/external HR policies and updates.

• Proficient in using HR systems and computer applications.

• Full knowledge of Jordanian labor law and related regulations.

• Understanding of the bank’s industry and business functions.

• Deep knowledge of HR systems and recruitment procedures.

• Expertise in interview techniques.

• Strong supervisory and administrative skills.

• Strong communication and negotiation skills.

• Team player with relationship-building capabilities.

• Planning and organizational abilities.

• Verbal communication and interpersonal skills with internal/external clients.
