Talent Acquisition Manager
Job Description

The Talent Acquisition Manager will take the lead to ensure Rosewood Sand Hill becomes the most progressive and innovative property that attracts world-class talent. This includes leading Employer Branding initiatives, adopting the latest technology in recruiting and designing the best candidate experience for the hotel. The Talent Acquisition Manager is responsible for designing and executing initiatives to attract, evaluate and hire qualified candidates for Rosewood Sand Hill .

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Design and execute recruiting strategies to attract, evaluate and hire qualified candidates. Proactively identify and address hiring needs in close partnership with business leaders. Evaluate and refine sourcing and selection procedures. Liaise with recruitment agencies when required, ensuring competitive rates are negotiated. Maintain accurate and complete records of the entire recruitment process. Ensure recruitment paperwork is prepared and updated before recruitment, e.g., Authority to recruit, job descriptions, etc. Keep abreast of industry trends and introduce innovative recruitment techniques. Promote diversity in the workplace and ensure recruiting strategies attract diverse candidates. Design and deliver on the best-in-class Candidate Experience components, including Job Crafting, Assessment, Feedback, Interview, Onboarding, and Alumni Engagement. Manage the overall relationship with top target schools and institutions. Oversees campus recruiting and student marketing activities. Maintain talent pipelines with potential candidates and past applicants for future staffing needs. Organize recruitment events to establish a strong employer brand at Career Fairs and College/University open days as requested to represent opportunities within Rosewood Sand Hill and Rosewood Hotels. Contribute to the company’s strategic planning regarding employee development and engagement. Leverage the latest recruiting technology, tools, and software (e.g., LinkedIn, Application Tracking System) to achieve cost efficiency and deliver excellent candidate experience. Ensure all vacancies assigned are filled in a timely manner in line with Rosewood Sand Hill  authorized headcount and budget for the associate level. Workforce planning for future needs considering trends, legislation, and government support packages. Maintain a candidate management system to ensure candidates are responded to within the set time. Compile job advertisements ensuring maximum coverage of the vacancy, at a minimum of one week on our internal vacancy list. Ensure that reference requests are sent and received for all new starters within the probation period and non-satisfactory references are communicated to the head of the department. Assisting with recruitment activities by screening candidates, arranging interviews, conducting interviews as designated in line with Rosewood Sand Hill ’s interview standards, and dealing with general enquires relating to vacancies in a timely manner.

 

Employer Branding:

Lead our employer branding efforts on internal and external social media platforms, including LinkedIn. Drive brand awareness of the business to the talent community, to drive application traffic and visibility to our Brand.


Requirements:

Must have a working knowledge of Federal and California employment laws and regulations. Must have an intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Internet searchability. Working knowledge of ADP Workforce Now. Ability to understand the flow of Human Resources transaction and processes. Must have excellent problem solving/judgment skills with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy. Must have strong organizational skills and a proven ability to work under pressure and deadlines. Must have a strong sense of urgency to respond to and address all HR-related inquiries timely and professionally from internal and external customers. Must effectively draft and professionally prepare written correspondence, e-mails, facsimiles, and memorandums. Must possess a proven ability to multitask. Must have customer service focus with the ability to listen and understand all internal customers actively. Must be comfortable with change and operating in a fast-paced and demanding environment. Must be able to behave professionally at all times while exercising very high levels of confidentiality and discretion.

 

 

Experience: 

Minimum one year experience as a Human Resources Manager or Recruitment Manager at a luxury or ultra-luxury hotel/resort.

 

Education: 

College degree or equivalent experience.

 

General Skills: 

Must be able to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy; prioritize, organize, and follow-up; be a clear thinker, remaining calm and resolving problems using good judgment; follow directions thoroughly; understand a guest's service needs; work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team; work with minimal supervision; maintain the confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data.

 

Technical Skills: 

Ability to organize tasks and assign responsibilities to subordinates; ability to educate staff members to develop their knowledge and skill; thorough understanding of the training process; solid planning skills; thorough knowledge of government labor laws and regulations; thorough knowledge of benefits processing; proficiency with Microsoft Office products; proficiency in ADP preferred.

 

Language: 

Required to speak, read and write English and do basic mathematics. Bilingual in Spanish is strongly preferred.

 

Licenses & Certifications: SHRM OR PHR certification preferred

This is the pay range for this position that the Hotel reasonably expects to pay. This position is eligible for bonus.Decisions regarding individual salaries will be based on a number of factors, such as experience, type of hotel luxury experience, location, and education.
