GENERAL ROLE:
The Tailor in a resort is responsible for providing professional tailoring services to both guests and staff. This includes performing alterations, repairs, and custom fittings on uniforms, guest clothing, and other fabric items as needed. The Tailor ensures that all garments meet the resort's high standards of presentation and quality, contributing to the overall guest experience and the professional appearance of resort staff.
•Provide information regarding the hotel’s facilities services.
•Be informed and keep your supervisor informed of all matters that may affect your work, the hotel’s service or reputation.
•Always present a clean and tidy appearance in accordance with the hotel’s grooming standards.
•Be flexible and open to change in your job responsibilities, work area and/or roster to meet business needs.
•Be understanding, supportive, encouraging and helpful to guests as well as suppliers and your colleagues.
•Care about your environment and make sure it is tidy and well maintained.
•Be reliable and ensure you are at work on time.
•Know your role in case of emergency such as bomb threat, flood, fire etc.
•Understand the Employee Handbook and comply with the standards it outlines
•Carry out all professionally reasonable instruction given by your supervisor.
•Report all incidents, accidents and guest complaints in briefing
•Know and follow procedures for Uniform/Linen exchange
•Methodically organize Uniform and Linen storage
•Be involved in the Uniform and Linen Inventory
•Deliver guest room linen to the pantry
•Mend and maintain the employees' uniforms in good order.
•Ensure any damage that may occur to any linen or uniform is followed up quickly
•Ensure that the sewing machines and other equipment are in a good working condition, and to report to the Supervisor for any repair requirements.

5.Collaboration:
oWork closely with the housekeeping and laundry departments to coordinate cleaning and delivery of garments.
oAssist other departments when required for fabric-related repairs (e.g., curtains, linens).
6.Quality Control:
oEnsure all work meets the hotel’s luxury service standards.
oInspect garments before and after alterations to ensure perfect presentation.

•High school or equivalent required; hospitality training or certification is a plus.
•Understanding of cleaning techniques and guest service
•Ability to communicate in English; Arabic is a plus.
•Positive attitude, reliability, and commitment to high standards.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to a wellness-driven hospitality environment.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS (IF ANY):
• Requires extended periods of walking, standing, bending, and stair climbing throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift or carry items up to 25 kg as needed.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends, holidays, and evenings.

• This role operates across indoor guest rooms, outdoor resort pathways, and public spaces within a luxury, wellness-focused environment.
