Competitive hourly wage starting at $22.41/hr & comprehensive benefits We will invest in you, covering the costs of continuing education through GardaWorld Academy 12 hour rotational shift schedule Career growth opportunities at GardaWorld Permanent Full-time opportunity Uniform provided at no cost Responsibilities for Canada Border Services Agency Tactical Security Guard Ensure the protection of individuals, property, and assets within the facility Escort detainees within the premises using restraints as necessary for safety Demonstrate empathy and compassion while working with individuals under stress Observe and monitor detainee behaviour and report concerns Conduct regular foot patrols – both indoors and outdoors Utilize security software and equipment effectively Conduct frequent wellness checks Generate accurate incident and daily reports Respond swiftly to emergency situations using tactical de-escalation techniques Qualifications for Canada Border Services Agency Tactical Security Guard Valid BCSecurity Guard License Valid First Aid Level 1 (OFA1) – an asset Advanced Security Training (AST) – an asset Must have resided in Canada for the past 5 years High school diploma or equivalent (proof of education required) Able to pass Public Works Clearance and Vulnerable Sector Check At least 1 year of experience in a security role Demonstrated ability to act decisively in high-pressure situations Strong communication and customer service skills
