**Introduction** IBM is seeking a self-driven and highly motivated Tactical Buyer / Sourcing Professional with proven experience to join our IBM Procurement Services team, supporting key client initiatives. As a Tactical Buyer / Sourcing Professional, you will take ownership of and lead projects. Along with Category Managers/Strategic Sourcing Professionals, you will also be providing category insights to assist strategy development. **Your role and responsibilities** * You will support on-going sourcing activities including driving supplier performance, demand management savings, and increasing compliance. * You will own primary responsibility to achieve client success for the projects/ tasks assigned. * You will act as a trusted commercial advisor and an expert in deriving value whilst meeting operational needs. * You will have a chance to grow strategic sourcing skills and specific enhanced category knowledge * You will network with leading class sourcing professionals to support your role and career path * You will have a career path opportunity into more deep dive category expertise or more broader leadership horizons **Required technical and professional expertise** * Strong decision-making skills and demonstrated negotiation expertise * Supplier relationship management expertise and client facing skills * Proactive character and team player attitude * High levels of personal drive, initiative, and commitment to business goals * Preferably fluent in European languages such as Romanian, German, or Polish, though open to candidates proficient in French, Spanish, or Italian as well * Experience in the FM category is preferred, but not limited to it. * Strong communication skills * Minimum 3 years of Tactical Buyer / Sourcing Buyer experience **Preferred technical and professional experience** * Experience with dashboards and reporting tools in general * Experience with e-sourcing tools IBM is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal-opportunity employer.
