T-7 Flight Readiness Technician – Team Lead

Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Flight Readiness Technician (D) to support our T-7 Operations Team at Edwards Air Force Base, CA.

The T-7 Flight Readiness Technician – Team Lead will perform routine final component installation and verification, as well as systems operational functional validation testing. Flight Readiness Technicians perform rework, modification, maintenance, preflight and post-flight checks for delivery, and troubleshooting.

Position Responsibilities:

Identifies problems and coordinates follow up communication with support organizations for problem resolutionProvides technical support in problem identification for pre-flight and post-flight checks, inspect and document non-conformance with high complexityPerforms inspections of flight test installations and aircraft functional testingInspects pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical and avionics systems to isolate mechanical and/or electrical/electronic faults and documents faulty componentsConducts pre-flight and post-flight checks and performs inspections of maintenance and modification actionsResolves identified problems during operation and testing of deliverable productsVerifies the accuracy of work performedAssists in performing system & sub-system pre-delivery inspections and aircraft maintenance in preparation for deliveryPlans, schedules and arranges daily activities with the assistance of leadWork is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options. 

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

3+ years of Aerospace, Fabrication, or Manufacturing experience3+ years of avionics and/or electrical experience3 years’ experience with live aircraft systems and flight operations

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

FAA Airframe & Powerplant license.Familiar with Boeing Production SystemAirline / MRO / Overhaul experienceExperience with computing & operating systemsExperience with AFTO 781 forms and IMDSExperience as a Flight Line Expeditor or Pro Super

Additional Information:

This position requires travel up to 10% of the time

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $76,500– $103,500 USD
